Some suggestions for the guys
For the more traditional in-studio portraits, a suit or sport coat with tie is good. Medium to dark sweaters photograph well. Dark clothing against a dark background can be a great look. For casual and outdoor photos, go with your usual look – jeans and khakis, shirts and sweaters all photograph well. If you have a “trademark” look – a hat or jacket you always wear - bring it along and we’ll get some shots with you in it. Bring a wide variety.
DO NOT WEAR - anything with stripes or bold patterns, sweaters or t-shirts with logos, words or pictures, vests and cream or light pastel sweaters or shirts. Consider wearing a dark t-shirt under a dark shirt instead of a white t-shirt. Avoid large, bold brand names or words on clothing. Popular brand names come and go. No need to make your portraits advertising for a clothing brand.
Shoes
Bring the right shoes for the outfits. Docs or sandals photograph much better than big, bright tennis shoes.
Shaving
A fresh shave looks best! If you wear a mustache or beard, please have it trimmed.
